World Missions . . .The Heartbeat of God

Jesus said, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." At Canaan Baptist Church, it is our desire to do that by impacting the entire world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We accompligh this through two avenues, giving and going. Canaan Baptist Church has a vision for reaching not only Covington, St. Tammany Parish, and Louisiana, but also the world.

Currently, we pray for missionaries all over the world and familiarize ourselves with their work. We also receive a weekly change offering that we give quarterly to a missions project. As we grow, we look forward to supporting missionaries both at home and abroad. We look forward to having missionaries in our services and also a yearly World Missions Conference. We will strive to be a missions hearted church, a church that has missions in it’s heart, not just it’s head.
