Schedule of Services
It would be our great joy to have you visit with us at Canaan Baptist Church! We have a spacious parking lot that is close and easily accessible to and from the building. There are no steps to enter our auditorium, making it easy for all to enterAs soon as you enter the front door, a hostess or an usher will greet you and help you find your way around.
Our worship is traditional and conservative, but far from boring and uneventful. We're excited about Christ here at Canaan, and that excitement is conveyed through our worship. We love to sing the songs of faith from the hymnal, as well as choruses we all know and love. Singing prepares our hearts for the most important part of the service…the preaching of God’s Word. Our Pastor seeks God each week to deliver the very message He has ordained for the service.
We know that often times you have questions about a church before you visit. We have tried to answer as many questions as possible below.
Do you have a nursery available?
Yes. Your children will be in a safe environment and cared for by parents and volunteers that love to work with children. Our nursery is open to children ages birth through three years old during all church services. Once you arrive at the church, one of our greeters will be happy to direct you to the nursery which is located just across the hallway from the Main Auditorium.
What should I wear?
You should wear the clothes that you feel comfortable in. You will notice when you arrive that most of our church ladies will be wearing a dress and most of the men will be dressed in a suit or a shirt and tie; however, we do not have a “dress-code” that you must abide by.
How long are the services?
At Canaan Baptist Church your time is valued. Each service will generally last about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes on Sundays and Wednesdays.
What time should I show up?
Generally arriving 15 minutes before the start of the service will give you time to find seating and get to know us before the service starts. Be sure to add a few extra minutes to your arrival time if you need to place children in the nursery.
Will I be singled out as a guest?
As a first time visitor, you will be given a visitor card during our church welcome time by simply raising your hand. During the offering you will be given the opportunity to place the visitor card in the offering plate. This will give us an opportunity to get to know you better, and to properly thank you for attending one or our services.
Does the church provide counseling?
Yes. Our Pastor and staff will take the time to help you through whatever problems may arise in your life. All counseling is done by appointment, there is no charge, and it based upon the King James Bible.
What kind of music do you have?
Our main goal is to honor the Lord in all we do. Our concept for music is no different; you will find our music to be uplifting, spiritual, and biblical. We want to use music to prepare our hearts and minds to receive the message that God has for us in each and every service.
We only consider you a visitor once at Canaan! After that, you’re just one of us! We know you will love the friendly atmosphere and the attitude of service and worship demonstrated by our folks. At the close of each service, Dr. and Mrs. Campbell would like to greet all the visitors before you leave. We know you will receive a warm welcome. Please, visit us soon!
We hope that you have found the answer you were looking for. If you have any other questions, please feel free to call us or send an email. God bless you.
